Welcome To My Passion Project!

Since entering the Burlington vintage and art scene, I’ve been deeply inspired by the incredible people and their stories. I’ve fallen in love with moments filled with color, self-expression, and a shared desire for connection.

I want more of these moments—and I want to help others bask in their beauty.

So, welcome to The Stitch: a community magazine created to celebrate (and cultivate) all things art, vintage, and community.

The Stitch is proudly built through diverse and multigenerational perspectives. That’s not just a hope—it’s a core value and guiding principle.

Sneak Peak from the First Letter from the Editor (Me!)

“Welcome to the birth of a CREATIVE REVOLUTION… or at least, that’s what I hope it can be.

Right now, my experience of the world feels like a constant rollercoaster—uncertainty, anxiety, passion, and inspiration sending me on a ride of highs and lows. That emotional chaos has built up like a bomb, and it’s ready to explode into something that brings color to a world that can so easily look grey.

So boom—welcome to THE STITCH.” - Reagan Dufresne

The Process

  • It all began with an idea. This idea was then talked about over and over again with so many people. The most developmental moment came from a conversation in the YMCA sauna… where a woman overheard me talking about the magazine to a friend…

She said, “I have a friend who would love to be a part of this.” She gave me her friend’s number, we got coffee. Then I invited this friend to be the writer for The Stitch. Hi, Sophie.

  • The first issue’s layout is almost complete. Next steps include figuring out printing costs, printing a few copies, and then gauging community interest.

  • The magazine will launch to the public at Art Hop in September! We (Sophie and I) also plan to interview community members to guide the direction of the magazine and the next issue.
